Lava Xolo X900

Lava Xolo X900

Lava Xolo X900 nfc enabled handset with intel atom processor
The NFC enabled Xolo X900 is from Indian handset manufacturer Lava.

– The world’s first mobile phone with Intel inside. A Medfield chipset with a 1,6 Ghz Atom processor, the Z2460 with Hyper Threading Technology.

– A 400MHz GPU for realistic HD and 3D gaming.

– Multimedia; a 4.03″ LCD display with a resolution of 1024X600 pixels. Dual speakers and a dedicated HDMI output port for TV.

– An advanced 8 Mp HD camera delivers 1080p image and video quality, a Photo-Burst mode to click up to 10 pictures in less than a second.

– The X900 will run on Android Gingerbread, with a planned over-the-air software upgrade to Android’s ICS platform “shortly thereafter”.

– NFC

The handset has an average (plastic) build quality, the back side of the phone has a rubberized matte finish. One says, it looks cheap and another says, it looks very good.
But even if the Phone’s performance is very good, will consumers be willing to spend more than INR 20.000,- for a handset of the brand Lava?
Soon the Orange branded “santa clara” (+ nfc), and the Lenovo K800 (non nfc) will be released. Two more smartphones with the Intel Atom processor. More stuff to compare.

Released; april 24 in India, priced at INR 22,000 (~$ 435,-). No info about other countries yet.
Update; It seems the Lava Xolo X900 NFC = the Orange San Diego NFC.
