NFC enabled Samsung Galaxy Express at ATT
A handset with mid-range specs for those who don’t need/want the latest high-end phone. The Samsung Galaxy Express has an NFC chip, you can read / write NFC tags and share with the Beam NFC app. It’s approved by VISA and Mastercard, probably soon an “ISIS ready” phone supporting contactless payments.
The Galaxy Express is exclusive to AT&T and runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Upd.; Not so exclusive anymore, in jan. announced for the rest of the world.

- NFC, not a word about optional, but as I know Samsung, they just don’t tell us. In most nfc-enabled Samsung phones, the nfc chip is still optional!
Update; “January 28, 2013 - Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, today launched the Samsung GALAXY Express, a..” Sorry, i don’t get it anymore, the phone is on AT&T’s website since November ’12. Further down the “new” specs for the non-ATT phone added.
