ISIS will be available for Android smartphone users beginning in spring 2012

In the wake of the Google Wallet launch this week, PCMag reports that ISIS will be available for Android smartphone users beginning in spring 2012.

ISIS, the mCommerce JV from carriers AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, will be compatible with the platforms from other operating systems, banks and retailers, ISIS marketing head Jaymee Johnson told PCMag.

“It’s safe to say that when Isis launches we’ll have multiple payment networks, multiple issuers, multiple handsets, multiple operating systems, multiple manufacturers,” Johnson said. “Yes. And Android.”
